When buying gold be careful

 

BIS, Hallmark etc. are the organizations that ensure whether gold is pure gold in India. In this situation, the central government is making Hallmark's 6-digit unique code mandatory from April 1, 2023. After March 31, no jeweller can sell gold without this 6-digit number. The rule also mandates that each drop of gold has a unique stamp called HUID.

This new system is being implemented with the good intention of not fooling customers into buying fake jewellery. There are 940 Hallmark centers across the country. In the first phase, 256 places have been identified for changing the Hallmark mark on old jewellery. Jewellers selling gold without this specific code will be fined 5 times the value of the jewellery.

If it is gold with a new hallmark code, it is likely to sell at a higher price.
