The Tamil Nadu government has clarified that no announcement has been made that the drivers will be given Rs.1,000. The Tamil Nadu government has said that the information published on social media about giving drivers Rs.1,000 is untrue.

The false information has been shared on social media with malicious intention. In an advertisement published in the name of Tamil Nadu Driver and Labor Welfare Association, Chennai-34, the Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that a compensation amount of Rs.1000 will be given to all vehicle drivers and if they submit the relevant documents to the nearest village administration office, the compensation amount of Rs.1000 will be paid into their bank account which is untrue. The news is being shared on social media.

No such notification has been issued by the Tamil Nadu government. It is hereby informed that this is false information and it is requested that no one should be deceived by this. It is hereby warned that strict action will be taken by the police department against those who spread such false information.
